Unternehmensstrategie und – daten:
Gowest (GWA: TSX-V) is a gold exploration and development company focused on exploring, growing and mining its 100%-owned Frankfield gold project in the prolific Timmins Gold Camp in Ontario, Canada.
The company’s goal is to expand upon its underexplored 510,000 oz, 2.4 million tonne, 6.5 grams per tonne gold deposit (43-101 inferred), proving a resource in excess of 1 million ounces.
Gowest became the 100%-owner of the Frankfield gold project in March, 2009. In December Gowest announced the acquisition of adjacent properties from Goldcorp that quadrupled its land position, and in December 2009 the company raised $6.5 million through a private placement.
In January 2010 Gowest commenced a 20,000 metre drill program focused on expanding the known resource at the Frankfield East deposit and exploring additional gold anomalies located along similar geological contact structures. In addition to this the company will be doing metallurgical testing to refine processing alternatives for the Frankfield mineralization, completing an environmental baseline study to allow for future bulk sampling and mining; and evaluating site locations for a Frankfield processing facility.
The property is accessible by highway 655 and an all-weather gravel road. The Frankfield Project is located within the Abitibi Greenstone Belt, which has historic production and reserves of over 143.7 million ounces of gold, or 48% of all the gold in Canada. The Timmins Gold Camp alone, a relatively small portion within the Abitibi Greenstone Belt, accounts for 65 million of those gold ounces.
Gowest is guided by a diverse team of professionals with experience and expertise uncommon in a junior gold exploration and development company. From the areas of capital finance, executive leadership, marketing, mine development, mine operations and gold production, team members have been drawn together by a shared belief in the assets and in the company¹s ability to maximize shareholder value.
